Differentiating Curriculum and Instruction for MLLs

Welcome to Differentiating Curriculum and Instruction for Multilingual Learners (MLLs). This asynchronous workshop is designed to support educators in effectively differentiating curriculum and instruction for multilingual learners (MLLs) across varying levels of English proficiency.

Participants will explore how to maintain the cognitive rigor of academic tasks while making content accessible through intentional scaffolding strategies. Grounded in the principle that access is a prerequisite for rigor, the course emphasizes practical approaches to ensuring that even newer MLLs can engage meaningfully with complex ideas and higher-order thinking. Through examples spanning multiple content areas, educators will learn how to adapt and differentiate a wide range of academic tasks, equipping them with tools to meet diverse linguistic needs without lowering expectations.
